I'm still studying this front snowblade thing. Can anyone tell me if you need to remove any loader brackets to install the JD snowblade? Also there seems to be an abundance of 300-400 lawntractor snowblades around here anyone know if they could be adapted to work?

I just found out that the quicktach is needed to run the blade with. That's about a $500 add-on. So, that means the loader comes off. I have the quicktach for my snowblower and I remove the loader completely (1 minute), install the quicktach, which has a hydralic ram to raise/lower the blower or blade and then install the blower onto the quicktach. ....

Get a curtis loader mounted snow plow, i have one on my JD 955. Its probably cheaper than a JD plow. Plus it mounts to the loader, so you can use it to stack snow. This is great for when you run out of room to push the snow. ....

The Curtis is not cheaper than the OEM plow for the 4115. It is about twice the price even before you add a third SCV to angle it. ....

I have the snowblade for my 4100 and all you need do is park the loader, attach the quick attach frame and drive into the blade. Takes less than 10 mins. The loader brackets that are on the tractor frame stay there. ....

How much snow (length of driveway) do you clear? Do yooun have any grade? How do you liike the blade? Do you feel blower would be better?
Did you try the Loader backblade before you went with the front snow blade?

I have the 47" snowblower as well which I use for heavier snowfall, also my driveway is over 245 feet with quite the large parking/turn around areas. The change over from one to the other is 3 mins. or less and with the ballast box full of concrete traction is not a problem. The blower is a lot more money to set up than the blade but if you have enough snow it is worth it. I use my equipment commercially so it is hard for me to judge what "enough" would be for just personal use. How much snow are we talking? ....

I have 1,200 of paved drive + 75 by 80 parking area. We get 10 to 15 storms a year of 3 to 12+ inches. Flat and hilly sections to 12% grade.
Get wet slushy stuff about 10% of the time. This is for personal use only so I don't want to buy anymore than I absolutely need. Will also use for mowing a few acres of grass.
What tractor and snow equipment would you get for this? ....

I am biased as I have a 4100 and a F735 as well. I use these commercially and so far had a good experience with my local dealer. What else would you be using this equipment for? I use the blade mostly for slushy stuff and small amounts of snow. The change over is fast and easy. It sounds to me that a blower would be good for you but it is expensive. Sorry about the delay in my response but this is a busy time. ....
